15 Nevill Street – Our Studio
Chris Jones can be found at No.15 Nevill Street, Abergavenny, above the Fig Tree Espresso Coffee Shop.
After a year of exploring a permanent space for Chris Jones, in December 2019 Chris bumped into local artist Jeremy Thomas, whilst supporting a Christmas market at St Mary’s Priory Church, who mentioned his old studio space in Nevill Street would be freed up soon. Jeremy would paint from here looking out over the rooftops and before him Louise Collis, landscape artist also took inspiration from the lofty third storey space. “The moment you walked into the room it felt right with good natural light, above a street full of independents, a coffee shop below and a pub a few doors down – what more do you need!”
Chris moved in January 2020 but has spent the last few months at home due to Covid-19. He’s now back in the office as Abergavenny starts to reopen and local businesses need support from each other. “It’s a great space for meetings with fellow architects, urban designers, place people and clients, with us continuing the creative and studio feel to the room”.
