A Deskful of Ideas

As some of you will have read I am offering a free agile desk space at my office in Abergavenny town centre.

I am aware that many of us have worked from home over the last 12 months and now want the flexibility of leaving the kitchen table behind for one day and come to a desk that is close to where you live or even on your journey to somewhere else.

The agile desk space provides the opportunity to work in bursts in a town centre location, have a chat and coffee and explore the streets outside for a lunchtime sandwich or by supporting a local independent shop.

My office is on the third floor of No.15 Nevill Street, Abergavenny town centre. It has great views over the rooftops of the town, has great natural light and is close to coffee shops, little bistros and local pubs as well as great indy businesses.

What does the space have?

  • A desk and chair

  • Power

  • Wi-fi

  • Coffee and tea

  • Toilets

To book the space, there are a number of things to do:

  • Email me first at chris@chrisjones.studio to enquire and check availability;

  • If available, I will confirm with you and then email you with a link to a short Covid-19 screening survey; if you don’t have access to a lateral flow test near to your booking, I have some kits that you can pick up from me, undertake the test and upload your results;

  • On completing the survey with the right responses and on informing me that the test is negative, you can continue with the booking;

  • On coming to the office, track and trace registration and hand sanitiser is available;

  • The desk is sanitised before and after your session;

  • The room is big enough to maintain social distancing with myself undertaking regular lateral flow tests.

All we ask is that you leave behind an idea about people and place that we can share across communities. We’ll do this through our website and also have plans for writing a book towards the end of the year. Watch this space.

Normal hours of opening for the desk is from 9am to 5pm, although hours outside of this can be agreed.

We hope the opportunity to use the agile desk shows the benefits of working in a town centre and may tempt you into taking up a more permanent space. We can signpost you to the landlord of our building if space is available and to places like Gwagle - Co-working Space (| Gwagle | Join our Co-working Space in Abergavenny), some 4 doors down the street if you want a more flexible arrangement.

If you want to find our more give me a ring on 07968943084.

Best wishes

Chris
